Andrew Selous MP for South West Bedfordshire said "I was deeply saddened to learn of Susan's death. She was the most wonderful warm hearted person who had time for everyone. South West Bedfordshire residents have good reason to be grateful to her. Her support enabled her husband David to give such outstanding service to his constituents for 31 years. She was incredibly kind and welcoming to me and my wife from the moment I was selected as the candidate to replace David and we will miss her very much indeed. Our thoughts and prayers are with David and his family at this difficult time."
